In China, Fujirebio Diagnostics AB (former CanAg Diagnostics AB) established relationship with Chinese researchers already during the early 90s.

A scientific co-operation between researchers from the Swedish company and researchers from  Cancer Institute Hospital–belonging to the Chinese Academy of Medical Science (CAMS) was set up for the development of Immunological assays/Tumor Marker assays for the Chinese market.

In 1996 a Representative Office (RO)was established to facilitate the registration of the assays at the SFDA/CFDA.

In 2008 the RO was transferred info a Wholly Foreign Owned Enterprise (WFOE) which today is named CanAg Diagnostics (Beijing).
